Welcome!
Welcome to the online portion of our lesson. Here you will participate in the digital space with various programs and materials, and even collaborate with other students!
Like any class there are some Rules and Regulations. Click on or read the titles below to see my expectations for this class.
Technology Requirements:
-For this course you will need to have a device, preferably a computer. It should have access to the internet, the ability to stream YouTube videos, an updated version of JAVA in order to view presentations, and a Google email so that you can access and share various documents through Google Drive.
Communication Policy
- This document contains information on your expected behavior when communicating through blog posts, emailing (both me, the teacher, and your fellow classmates), and when working together using collaborative apps.
Grading Rubric and Policy
- For this project there will be specific things that you will be aiming towards completing, doing this shows your understanding and mastery of the introduced topics, themes, and ideas. The Grading Rubric is as follows:
/10 Full figure in proportion, superhero is 7-8 heads tall
/5 Figure is in a stance or in motion
/5 Power and/or Accessories and/or gaddget added.
/10 Outlining/detailing done on body.
/10 Used thin markers with at least 2 Pen & Ink shading technique.
o Contour lines, Cross hatching,Parallel lines, Stippling, or Scribble/ Wavy lines
/10 Smooth, solid water coloring on body
/10 Craftsmanship______________________________
/60 pts total
Each portion ranges from being out of 5 to 10 points, totaling 60 points for the entire project. To earn full points in a category you must accomplish that task to the best of your ability and make it obvious. Fewer points will be awarded for partially completed work, half points for a half completed category, and 1-2 points for beginning phase/just started category work. Zero means the category is not worked or shown on at all. For example, let’s say that you have drawn your full figure and they are very detailed, but you turn it in without doing any water coloring work, then you would not receive any points for the watercolor portion because it is missing.
-Late work: Work must be turned in during strict due dates, but re-works or re-do's are allowed. For general exercises and reflections re-do's will be judged on a one on one teacher and student discussion or what was completed, what needs to be worked on, and what the time frame will be to complete that work. This is the same for your final project, you must turn it in, whether you are 100% done or 1%. I will grade it, then you can use the feedback you receive on the grading rubric, same from above, to guide your re-working of any aspects where you want to gain points back. This needs to be done within two weeks of when the grading rubric and project are handed back to you.
